Wall Street saw another record-breaking day on Thursday as the Nasdaq Composite clinched its 12th consecutive session of gains. This marks the index's longest winning streak since July 2009. The surge was fueled almost entirely by investor hope that the Israel-Lebanon ceasefire will hold and lead to a permanent resolution in the Middle East.
Market analysts noted that while corporate earnings have been mixed, the prospect of reopening the Strait of Hormuz has sent energy and tech stocks climbing. The S&P 500 also touched an all-time high, as traders increasingly bet on a "soft landing" for the global economy if energy prices stabilize following a peace deal.
