Three Strangers Pulled a Family From Floodwater in the Dark
The story
When floodwater hit Central Texas in the dark, Kelsey Cravey’s mother and stepfather were trapped in a mobile home. They screamed. A semi horn answered. Two, then three men said they would get them out.
The men were not friends. They did not leave a business card. They saw a need and did not look away.
What happened next
A photograph caught the moment of rescue. Kelsey later told CBS Texas she wanted to say thank you and could not, because she did not know who they were. That ache is a kind of love: gratitude with no address.
A lesson you can use this week
If you help a stranger, you may never hear the rest of the story. Do it anyway. If you were helped, tell the story out loud so the nameless good does not vanish.
