New Hampshire: A Concord Librarian Held a Table Like Medical Equipment

The story

Concord and Manchester libraries stay open for children who need a table more than a lecture.

Staff learn who stays until close. Quiet rooms and snack partnerships lower stress without calling it therapy.

What happened next

ALA keeps collecting versions of this scene because it works in small capitals as well as big cities.

A lesson you can use this week

Thank a librarian by name. Donate headphones. Defend Sunday hours.
