Lost in a Rainforest, She Was Carried by Another Traveler
The story
Getting lost in a Thai rainforest sounds adventurous until your legs stop cooperating. A traveler reached the end of self-sufficiency.
Another backpacker did not offer a pep talk. He carried her. The body keeps score. Sometimes the score says you need to be lifted.
What happened next
They got out. She told the story later as kindness, not as humiliation. Accepting help became part of how she survived the day.
A lesson you can use this week
Practice saying “I cannot do this alone” before the emergency. Then, when it is your turn, be willing to carry someone’s bag or weight without making them apologize.
