Turkey: An Istanbul Ferry Crowd Made Space for a Parent and a Sick Child
Updated: Sep 22
Istanbul
Passengers on an Istanbul ferry cleared a bench so a parent could sit with a sick child during a crowded crossing.
The scene was small and public. City ferries are packed at peak hours, and courtesy is usually the only extra capacity available.
No official statement followed. Commuters who were there described it as a brief pause in an otherwise ordinary run.
