Tennessee: Eleanor Left a 25-Year Wheelchair Chapter and Returned to a Track
The story
Eleanor spent 25 years in a wheelchair. A neurologist said she would not improve.
She walked a quarter mile. Walker, then canes, then less. She had never been an athlete.
What happened next
Knee replacements and flares interrupted her. She still showed up. Senior Games lanes later held her stubborn feet.
A lesson you can use this week
Late improvement is still improvement. Test one safe, tiny experiment.
